Pickering Christmas Float by AGC
AGC Signs recently helped the City of Pickering bring their design dreams to life by creating a holiday float.
The goal was to create a North Pole themed float complete with arctic animals.
We helped The City of Pickering bring this idea to life in a cost-effective way that still caught the eye of everyone who saw it!
Starting The Project - printing
To make the animals for the float, we digitally printed them and then applied the prints to a corrugated plastic called coroplast.
Coroplast is a fairly sturdy plastic that allowed the animals to be cut out and either stand up or be tie strapped down.

Here you can see all of the cute arctic animals cut out and ready to be placed onto their new home - the float!

As we mentioned above, all of the prints were applied to coroplast. Then, we put laminate over them.
By putting both a laminate on the prints and using the coroplast plastic, the animals are now water and weather proof for the Christmas parade! Bring on the snow!
The Pickering Christmas Float On Display
The float on display for the Pickering Christmas parade! There may have been sunny weather, but it was great knowing the float would be just fine if snow or wet weather appeared.
Ho Ho Ho Marquee Letters
We also helped The City of Pickering create custom “Ho Ho Ho” marquee letters, designed for the City Of Pickering Christmas market and Tree Lighting Event.
Customizing The Sign
We created custom “Ho Ho Ho” marquee letters. These letters were made out of metal. We made sure all of the electrical was concealed inside so the sign is weather proof and safe!
The “Ho Ho Ho” Letters On Display
To add a festive touch to the lettering, we added a red digital print with a snowflake pattern to the interior, and alternate red and white lights to give it more festive feel.
