CUSTOM BUSINESS SIGNS
BANNERS
When businesses first begin it is considered how custom business signs can add to their daily operations, and banner signs are one of the first sign styles they think of.
The most notable quality of banner signs is their tremendous portability. Banner signs are usually stored within a metal tube containing a roller held at tension. To set up the sign, you need to pull it out of the tube and affix the end to something like a stand or frame, which often comes with your banner sign. Then, if you need to move the sign, it can retract back into the roller for incredibly lightweight, small-footprint transport.
This common roller-tube feature of banner signs makes them very attractive for any setting where you only need temporary signage. For example, if your business has a booth at a conference, is hosting an event, or if you need some easily transported advertising material to set up and take down quickly.
Banner signs can also be produced without a roller mechanism, and you can simply commission a simple vinyl sheet that you can hang and use how you like.
Banner signs are very customizable, affordable, and your best choice when you need a sign that will only be displayed temporarily.

DOOR SIGNS
If your business or office building has plenty of glass entrances or windows, then door signs may be the custom business sign you need.
Door signs are subtle labels applied adhesively to glass. They are often 20cm-100cm in length, due to the point that they need to fit on the surface of a door or window.
As in the picture above, door signs add elegance and interest to a space. They can be informative, but typically they are used for decorative reasons.
However, some door signs can be used to make a glass surface less reflective, or simply to break up the space and indicate that there is a glass door at a location so people don’t walk into it.

WALL SIGNS
Wall signs make a big, bold statement. If you want flashy advertising, unmissable decor, or simply need to make an announcement that no one will miss, consider installing a wall sign.
Like banner signs, wall signs can be made of vinyl, although they are typically intended to be left hanging permanently. If the background surface is right, wall signs can also be made of adhesive plastic which glues to the wall. Regardless, wall signs are easy to install and replace, and this easy installation also means your business won’t be disrupted if you ever decide you want your sign removed or replaced.
Price: $75 - $200

Eye-catching
Flexible size
Can cover cracks or blemishes on the wall

UTILITY SIGNS
This final category is more of a catch-all for custom business signs that aren’t meant for advertising or used for aesthetic purposes, and are first and foremost meant to be practical. Utility signs are meant to inform workers and clients, sometimes for their convenience, and for their safety.
There are a variety of purposes utility signs can have, such as:
Washroom locations
Hazardous material warnings (In Canada, refer to the relevant WHMIS guidelines)
Heavy machinery warnings
Interior navigation in large buildings
Instructional signage
Refer to the legality of your province or territory regarding which specific posters, information, or signage your workplace is legally required to display. For example, in Ontario, businesses are required to hang certain posters in the workplace to ensure employees are aware of their rights.
Utility signs are more expensive than other types of signs because they need to be durable to survive the weather, if outside, or regular use inside. Metal and stainless steel are common materials for utility signs, and metal carries a larger base cost.
Price: $150 - $400
